Founder & CEO

  • Tapan Bhatt is a leader in the AI industry and the founder and CEO of TeraCrunch, an AI consulting and solutions provider. With over 21 years of experience, and with a passion for technology, Tapan has dedicated his career to helping businesses leverage AI to drive growth and efficiency. Under his leadership, TeraCrunch has become a trusted partner across various industries, delivering customized solutions to address unique business challenges. Tapan's commitment to excellence ensures clients achieve tangible results.

    A thought leader in AI, Tapan frequently shares insights on industry trends and developments. His strategic vision and hands-on experience make him a sought-after advisor for companies aiming to stay competitive in a data-driven world. Prior to establishing TeraCrunch, Tapan held key leadership positions in a series of technology startups that achieved remarkable success - ROAM (acquired by Ingenico), AisleBuyer (acquired by Intuit), Motricity (IPO in 2010, NASDAQ: MOTR), and Amobee Media Systems (acquired by SingTel).

    Tapan is also an Innovation Committee/Board Member at St. Luke's Health System, showcasing his dedication to innovation through AI. His involvement with Ethical AI community underscores his commitment to responsible AI practices.

Nate Allen

VP, Engineering

  • As VP of Engineering at Teracrunch, Nate oversees the development and delivery of bespoke and innovative AI solutions for Teracrunch's clients. 

    He uses his broad background in engineering, entertainment and education to help companies modernize their products and leave lasting value. 

    In past roles, Nate led teams to streamline compliance processes and workflows at Workiva, and to bring Ada’s AI chatbot to call centers. He also took a turn teaching programming to career changing adults at the Turing School in downtown Denver as the school doubled in size.

    Nate is founding member of the Kansas City AI club and KC Video Game Developers meetup. He was also an organizer for the KC Startup Weekend. 

Scott Haluck

VP, Machine Learning Solutions

  • Scott Haluck has 15 years experience in secondary and higher education where he taught computer science and math courses. His education background provided years of developing and refining his skills in Python, statistical methods, and machine learning. He has a passion for using data to build solutions in the domains of business efficiency, non-profit, education, automation, social and systemic justice issues. Since joining TeraCrunch, he has worked on automation projects to significantly reduce operating costs, analytic dashboards to provide business insight, and predictive models to help estimate profits. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering and his MA in Secondary Education (Math) from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, CA.

    Outside of professional accomplishments, Scott spends time with his family and friends - playing soccer or ultimate frisbee, riding bikes, and enjoying the outdoor opportunities in Kansas City. In his private time, Scott enjoys reading and learning about a variety of topics in technology and social justice. In the sphere of community service, Scott works with the non-profit Jerusalem Farm where he serves as Chair of the Board.

Dr. Raju Sudhakar

Sr. Data Scientist

  • Sudhakar Raju holds a primary appointment as Hall Chair in Finance & Data Analytics at Rockhurst University (Kansas City, MO) and a secondary appointment at Harvard University (Cambridge, MA). For the past seven years he taught graduate courses in Quantitative Methods at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. He has a Ph.D. in Economics & Finance from Northern Illinois University and has a Master's in Public Administration (MPA) from Harvard University. Sudhakar has served as a consultant to various organizations including the World Bank, UNDP, Central Banks, Stock Exchanges, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Kuwait Investment Authority, Qatar Government, etc. Sudhakar received the FRM (Financial Risk Manager) designation in 2003. He is a recipient of the Missouri Governor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching as well as the Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) Dean's Teaching Excellence Award. He has published numerous papers on areas ranging from portfolio management, investing, economic policy, hedging, derivatives and quantitative modeling.

Dr. Muhammed Idris

Principal Data Scientist

  • Muhammed Y. Idris, Ph.D. specializes in the development of tools for digesting complex technical information into actionable insights in a wide range of fields, from finance at BlackRock and humanitarian work with the UNHCR to consumer technology for Garmin and in Venture Capital at Capria, the leading global impact investment firm backed by Bill Gates. Muhammed received his PhD from the Pennsylvania State University and has since held teaching and research positions at Concordia University (Montreal) and Harvard University, where he held a fellowship while completing his dissertation.

Harshal Patni

Artificial Intelligence Engineer

  • Harshal Patni has over six years experience in solving data oriented problems within domains such as Healthcare, Bio-medical, Clinical Informatics, Social, Sensors and Open Government data.

    Over the years, he has worked on several projects developing intelligent infrastructures that have significantly reduced operating costs. His expertise and interests are in the areas of knowledge engineering, data integration and information extraction from unstructured data employing techniques from Semantics, NLP and machine-learning. He received his B.E. in Computer Engineering from Mumbai University and his MS in Computer Science (specializing in Semantic Technologies) from Ohio Center of Excellence in Knowledge Enabled Computing (Kno.e.sis). In his leisure time, Harshal enjoys travel, amateur photography and the outdoors.

Dr. Anatolij Gelimson

  • A PhD in Theoretical Physics from University Of Oxford from University of Oxford with a focus on statistical analysis and mathematical modeling. As a Senior Data Scientist at TeraCrunch he applies his quantitative skills to develop our machine learning solutions that are customized for our clients. He has extensive experience in complex data analysis and applied Mathematics and his research in Statistical Biological Physics was featured in major peer-reviewed science journals, and presented at international conferences. He is also a native speaker of German and Russian, fluent in English and proficient in Spanish and French.

Dr. Thomas Brawner

Principal Data Scientist

  • Thomas holds a PhD in Political Science from The Pennsylvania State University. He is an expert in building custom predictive models in a variety of domains, including healthcare, advertising, energy, and politics. Prior to joining TeraCrunch, he worked as a Data Scientist at Harvard University and as a Sr. Data Scientist Instructor at Galvanize. His research has been published in peer-reviewed political science and psychology journals, and he has presented work at several national academic and professional conferences. Thomas is affiliated with the Center for Research Methods & Data Analysis at the University of Kansas and the ChildTrauma Academy in Houston.
